DENTAL CLINIC SMILEPOINT SERVICES
This is a condition in which the patient unconsciously clenches or grinds his teeth during the day or at night while sleeping. Mild forms of bruxism do not require treatment. More severe forms of bruxism lead to diseases of the mandibular joint, headaches, tooth wear and trauma.
Bruxism splints are made to keep the upper and lower teeth apart and prevent friction between them. The splint changes the bite and muscle tone, and in some cases this leads to the termination of the pathological reflex.
